Logic’s song 1-800-273-8255 has once again increased both awareness and calls to the National Suicide Prevention Line.
After his performance at the VMA’s there was an increase in calls, and this same effect was seen after his performance at the Grammy’s.
The song, which starts with Logic rapping about wanting to give up on life, ends with hope sung by Khalid after Alessia Cara sings about hope, as one might hear if they call a suicide prevention line.
At the end of the performance, Logic expresses hope to all, especially those who have been marginalized due to race, gender, or country of origin.
“To all the beautiful countries filled with culture, diversity, and thousands of years of history, you are not shit-holes.” –Logic at Grammy’s 2018
