Google Pulling Addiction Center Ads

Google has stopped running ads for addiction treatment centers.  This is a positive step forward, enabling addicts and their families looking for treatment centers to more clearly see all of their options when searching.  Google had been earning up to £200 each time someone clicked on an ad for an addiction treatment center.

Google said to Business Standard, “Substance abuse is a growing crisis and even as we’ve helped healthcare providers connect with people who need help, unfortunately there’s also been a rise in deceptive practices from bad actors taking advantage of those in need.”
